What to do in Boston? A better question to ask would be, "What
not to do?" Boston is the most significant city culturally and
historically in the United States. It boasts the "firsts"
of most everything in this country, the first public library, the first
public schools, and the oldest public park, known as the Common. Excellent
examples of Victorian architecture can be found at almost every turn,
beautiful churches are on almost every street corner. Historic Revolutionary
War sites such as Bunker Hill, site of a famous battle, abound. Visit
the Boston Tea Party Museum and learn about the single most significant
event that led to the independence of our great nation or hike along
the Freedom Trail, viewing sixteen nationally significant historic sites
          along its red brick path.
Boston isn’t all history however. Its Museum of Science, Museum
of Fine Arts, its own professional baseball team, the Red Sox, and countless
restaurants, nightclubs, universities, and attractions make certain
that Boston has something for everyone’s interests.

The Delano Homestead Bed and Breakfast is located a scenic half-hour
drive west of the Cape Cod Bridge and is also in an excellent central
location to many of Massachusetts South Coast’s best places to
visit. Planning day trips to Cape Cod, or the Islands is easily possible
from beautiful Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Why not enjoy the tours of
historic mansions, galleries, and restaurants of Newport or the nightlife
of bustling Providence, Rhode Island another night? All of these enjoyable
places are less than an hour away.
